Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients presenting with mood disorders to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of their symptoms.

• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that align with their unique needs, goals, and preferences.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to assist clients in managing their conditions effectively.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and essential self-care practices to empower them in their recovery journey.

• Monitor client progress meticulously and adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring optimal therapeutic outcomes.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to provide integrated and holistic care for clients.

• Stay current with the latest research in mood disorders to enhance therapeutic approaches and client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with clients experiencing a range of mood disorders, such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Your role is pivotal in providing therapeutic support for vulnerable populations, including those affected by homelessness, domestic violence, and trauma. Your empathetic and knowledgeable approach will assist these individuals in navigating their challenges and improving their mental health.

Qualifications\n

• Must hold an active and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
