Job Description
Clinical Supervisor — LPC
Full-Time W-2 | Hybrid | Springfield, VA
Expected Annual Compensation: $85,000–$90,000
STIW is seeking an experienced Clinical Supervisor who genuinely enjoys teaching, developing clinicians, and creating a strong clinical culture.
This position combines a reduced caseload of approximately 15 completed client sessions per week with clinical supervision and oversight of Supervisees
This Role Is for You If...
You are passionate about teaching and developing clinicians.
You're an experienced supervisor who can assess what a clinician needs and adjust your approach accordingly.
You're naturally curious and use thoughtful questions to strengthen clinical reasoning and self-awareness.
You're direct and supportive, providing corrective feedback while leaving clinicians clear about expectations and next steps.
You value structure, accountability, workflows, and follow-through.
You know how to balance teaching, consultation, reflection, and clinician autonomy.
You're collaborative and want to help build a positive, growth-oriented clinical culture.
You have strong documentation and treatment-planning skills and understand medical necessity in an insurance-based practice.
You exercise sound judgment and know what you can handle independently and what needs to be escalated.
You're newly licensed or relatively new to clinical supervision.
You're looking for your first opportunity to learn how to supervise.
You're primarily attracted to the compensation or reduced caseload.
You avoid difficult conversations or struggle with direct feedback.
You prefer working independently rather than developing and collaborating with a clinical team.
You dislike structure, accountability, documentation standards, or established workflows.
Expected annual compensation: $85,000–$90,000, based on experience, qualifications, productivity, and fulfillment of clinical and supervisory responsibilities.
This is a W-2 position with compensation based on the role's combined clinical and supervisory responsibilities, rather than a traditional fixed salary.
Benefits include Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, 401(k), PTO, paid holidays, and professional development support.
Compensation:$85,000 - $90,000

Help create a clinical environment centered on learning, structure, accountability, and collaboration.
Our clinical work is grounded in trauma-informed, attachment-oriented care with an appreciation for the relationship between the mind, body, nervous system, and emotional well-being. We're looking for a Clinical Supervisor who can both practice from this lens and help developing clinicians deepen their understanding of it.
Master's degree in Counseling or a related behavioral health field.
Active, unrestricted Virginia LPC license.
