Physical Therapist - School Setting in Fort Bragg, NC

Job Description

Step into an engaging contract opportunity providing key support as a Physical Therapist across multiple school settings near Fort Bragg, NC. You’ll make a meaningful difference for students from Pre-K through high school by delivering essential therapy services within a collaborative PT/PTA team. With a varied and manageable caseload of 50 students, you’ll enjoy variety in your daily work and meaningful connections with young learners.

This position offers a blended schedule: Extended School Year (ESY) runs July 8 through July 30, 2026 (Monday–Thursday, 8:00 am–12:30 pm), followed by a full-time assignment August 13, 2026 through May 28, 2027 (Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–3:30 pm). Travel is required between schools, all kept as close as possible, and your mileage will be reimbursed to help support your commitment to student success.

Desired Qualifications:
• Valid PT license
• Experience working in school-based therapy preferred
• Early intervention background and TPBA (Transdisciplinary Play-Based Assessment) certification are highly desirable, but not required
• Prior work with diverse student populations, including Pre-K
• Ability to collaborate effectively with PTAs and educational staff
• Must be able to complete fingerprinting requirements for Pre-K assignments

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver quality physical therapy services to students
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs
• Travel between assigned schools within the district
• Participate in PreK evaluations, IEP meetings, and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain clear, timely student documentation
• Consult with teachers, staff, and families regarding student needs
