Contractor - Speech Language Pathologist

Job Description Starting Date: Aug 17, 2026 Lyndon Institute is seeking a part‑time Speech Language Pathologist Independent Contractor for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year. The consultant shall provide contracted services from mid‑August through mid‑June, as needed. Compensation will be an agreed‑upon hourly rate and will be paid on a bi‑weekly basis following the School’s Accounts Payable schedule. The consultant will receive a 1099 annually and must maintain a valid license, submit a copy to L.I., and pass required background checks. The contract may be modified based on student enrollment and will be updated each August/September. Key Responsibilities Provide direct services (as necessary) to students. Consult with teaching staff and parents. Conduct evaluations and testing. Prepare and review therapy materials. Conduct classroom observations. Participate in IEP development and review meetings. Complete therapy notes, planning, and prep time. Compensation & Benefits Salary: $75 to $100 per hour. The consultant will be compensated at the rate of one half of a day worked if school is closed without prior notice. Additional Requirements Provide certificate of liability insurance with limits of $1 million per incident and $3 million aggregate. Maintain valid license and pass background checks. Qualifications At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred. Bachelor degree preferred. Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
