About the Position

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Leukemia & Hematology – Ohio

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (Day/Night rotating or Night shift only); variable weekend coverage based on unit needs. If you accept a rotating contract, shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on staffing priorities.

Highlights:

• Specialized acute leukemia and hematology unit caring for newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients
• 24-bed unit with goal staffing ratio of 1:4 (may be 1:5)
• EMR: Epic electronic charting system
• 72-hour orientation with interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
• Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls prevention
• No chemo certification required (ONS Chemo Certification preferred)
• High volume of blood product administration, IV antibiotics, and electrolyte management

Requirements:

• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience with at least 1 year of PCU/Step-down experience (must be current within the last 12 months)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Proficiency in IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, central line blood draws, PICC line management, and feeding tube care
• Epic charting experience required
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
• Travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will be screened for client review
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
