Work Environment

The Orthopedic Physical Therapy Assistant will work onsite in a hospital setting, providing an engaging and interactive environment with state-of-the-art equipment dedicated to physical rehabilitation. The work schedule is designed to balance patient needs and employee well-being, with hours typically from Monday to Friday, either from 9 am to 5 pm or 8 am to 4 pm. Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in the evaluation of patients, contributing to the development of personalized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments of physical abilities.
• Implement and monitor treatment protocols focused on improving patients' mobility, strength, and endurance, utilizing modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation as applicable.
• Deliver manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and effective rehabilitation strategies, tailoring interventions to individual patient needs and progress.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, engaging with physicians, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding home exercise regimens, the use of adaptive equipment, and preventive strategies against potential injuries.
• Maintain accurate and thorough records of patient interventions and progress, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and Reinforce Physical Therapy's operational protocols.
• Pursue ongoing professional development by engaging in continued education opportunities, seeking specialized certifications to enhance skills and improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Qualifications

• Successful completion of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is mandatory, ensuring a solid foundational knowledge of therapeutic practices.
• The candidate must possess an active California Physical Therapist Assistant license and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Physical Therapist Assisting.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role is competitive, ranging from $50,000 to $70,000 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications.
