Accounting Specialist II – Comprehensive Youth Services, Inc. Comprehensive Youth Services, Inc. is a non‑profit organization that oversees four programs. Position Description The accounting specialist works closely with others in the finance department to oversee daily, monthly, and yearly financial operations. Tasks include but are not limited to: Prepare accurate financial statements Reconcile accounts and credit card accounts Generate reports Manage accounts payable: pay and file invoices and track status Manage accounts receivable Prepare month‑end reports and all necessary reporting Input ledger entries and process financial transactions Draft and send invoices, print checks and ACH payments in a timely manner Data management Assist with administrative tasks including answering phones, organizing mail, or ordering office supplies Collaborate with program directors to prepare budgets for grants Prepare and complete daily bank deposits Prepare for financial audits Prepare financial reports for the Board of Directors meetings and attend meetings Hours Full time, 8 a.m.–4 p.m., Monday‑through‑Friday Compensation TBD, with experience taken into consideration Benefits 403(b) retirement plan with 10% matching; medical/dental/vision fully paid by employer after 90 days; paid time off and vacation days Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred 2–4 years’ experience in an accounting role Non‑profit experience a plus Knowledge of MIP Classic or MIP Cloud preferred Exceptional written and oral communication skills Computer proficiency Flexibility and capacity to prioritize tasks in a rapidly changing environment Ability to work evenings and/or weekends when needed Federal and state grant knowledge This posting outlines the typical tasks and responsibilities undertaken by an employee in this role.
