Personal Injury Paralegal

Rice Law is looking for an exceptional person to join our growing personal injury team as a Personal Injury Paralegal. Prior personal injury experience is a plus-but it isn't the only thing we're looking for. Description of the Role: Serve as a primary point of contact for personal injury clients and develop strong client relationships Communicate regularly with clients by telephone, email, and text Help clients navigate the personal injury process from intake through settlement Maintain organized and accurate case files Obtain and track medical records, bills, insurance information, and other case documentation Communicate with medical providers, insurance companies, attorneys, and other parties Monitor treatment and case progress and proactively follow up when something is outstanding Prepare correspondence, settlement demands, and other case-related documents Assist attorneys with negotiations and case preparation Track deadlines, tasks, and follow-ups Maintain detailed notes and accurate information in Clio Manage Help prepare settlement documentation and assist with liens and case closing Identify problems before they become problems Take ownership of assigned cases and help move them toward successful resolution Who We're Looking For: Exceptional attention to detail Highly organized and able to manage multiple matters simultaneously Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills Warm, empathetic, and genuinely enjoys helping people Strong written and verbal communication Takes ownership and follows through Reliable and accountable Coachable and receptive to feedback Learns quickly and takes good direction Comfortable working independently while being part of a team Positive, energetic, and solutions-oriented Able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment Comfortable using technology and learning new systems Strong judgment and professionalism Motivated by accomplishing goals and being part of a successful team Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred Personal injury, legal, insurance, medical, or claims experience is a plus, but not required Prior customer service, hospitality, or other client-facing experience is strongly valued Experience working in a high-performing team environment is a plus Experience with Clio Manage or other case-management software is a plus Strong computer and technology skills Spanish fluency would obviously be a significant plus if that's still valuable to the firm #J-18808-Ljbffr Rice Law
