Principal IT Infrastructure Engineer - Entra

Salary: $102,000 - 142,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, CIS, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience in place of the degree
• At least 10 years of experience in IT consulting, business analysis, or a closely related area
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Entra services, including hybrid identity synchronization, Entra Connect, authentication, privileged access management, role-based access control, enterprise applications, and application identities
• Proven ability to provide technical leadership across multiple work streams and complex enterprise initiatives
• Experience gathering business, functional, and non-functional requirements using a range of methodologies
• Ability to develop business cases and assess cost, benefit, ROI, and total cost of ownership for complex solutions
• Demonstrated skill in solution design, process improvement, and translating requirements into practical business outcomes
• Experience partnering with stakeholders across Azure Platform, IAM, Security, Microsoft 365, and application teams
• Ability to influence executive leaders and guide cross-functional teams through change and delivery

• Lead the engineering, administration, modernization, and ongoing enhancement of Microsoft Entra services across the enterprise
• Oversee secure, scalable, and reliable identity capabilities across multiple tenants
• Serve as the senior technical expert and subject matter authority for identity and access management solutions
• Direct multiple work streams by clarifying needs, setting priorities, removing obstacles, and tracking progress
• Develop and update policies, procedures, standards, tools, and templates that support consistent operations
• Translate business strategy into actionable requirements and guide project teams toward delivery
• Lead IT consultants and collaborate with stakeholders and technical partners to define process and system solutions
• Map current-state processes to future-state models and identify operational impacts across upstream and downstream components
• Design solutions by turning requirements into workable business approaches and facilitating design sessions with IT teams
• Evaluate value gaps, improvement opportunities, and third-party vendors when needed
• Drive continuous process improvement and promote sustainable best practices across the organization
• Coach, mentor, and influence team members while fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing

We are seeking a senior, flexible IT Operations Entra leader to help advance our enterprise identity platform from our Greensboro, NC office, with onsite presence required at least part of the week. Our IT Operations Entra team is responsible for engineering, administering, and continuously improving Microsoft Entra services that power cloud identity, authentication, authorization, and access management across the organization. In this highly collaborative role, we work closely with Azure Platform, IAM, Security, Microsoft 365, and application teams to strengthen secure, scalable identity capabilities and drive operational excellence across the enterprise.
