IT Infrastructure Engineer (Microsoft Entra)

Salary: $102,000 - 142,000 per year Requirements:

• We require at least 2 years of experience in a technical leadership role, with or without direct reports.
• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, CIS, or a related discipline, plus at least 8 years of experience in an IT operations environment with technical exposure to distributed technologies, systems development, and/or networking.
• We may consider equivalent work experience in place of the degree requirement.

• We oversee business-specific projects by applying deep subject matter expertise, coordinating resources, managing work plans, resolving complex issues, and driving tasks to completion.
• We build relationships across functions, communicate guidance to move initiatives forward, mentor junior team members, and adapt to changing priorities and feedback.
• We use DevOps, Waterfall, and Agile methods to design and deliver resilient, secure, cloud-based solutions across multiple channels and high-volume environments.
• We provide consultation on IT infrastructure planning, engineering, and architecture, including evaluating how strategy affects infrastructure capabilities.
• We assess solution options, risks, costs, and benefits, and we partner with IT teams and business stakeholders to troubleshoot complex systems.
• We work with architects and software engineers to turn functional requirements into scalable, maintainable system designs that align with our architecture standards.
• We translate business, functional, and non-functional needs into technical specifications for complex infrastructure solutions.
• We establish and maintain detailed service standards, guidelines, processes, and procedures for implementation and ongoing support.
• We mentor technical staff, review and validate technical documentation, and lead solution development to address business problems.
• We collaborate with business leaders and enterprise architects to support planning, benchmark trends and technologies, and recommend resources needed to sustain service levels and meet future demand.
• We guide physical architecture design for new initiatives and provide input to leadership on infrastructure needs and ROI considerations.

We are seeking a senior technical resource to support the engineering, administration, modernization, and ongoing stability of Microsoft Entra services that power enterprise identity, authentication, authorization, and access management across our organization. Our team partners closely with Azure Platform, IAM, Security, Microsoft 365, and application teams to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable identity services while advancing platform standards and operational excellence. This is a flexible role, and the selected candidate may need to report to our Greensboro, NC office at least part of the time each week.
