SONIC Multi-Unit Leader Job Description

As a SONIC Multi-Unit Leader, you will manage the operations of all General Managers and employees within multiple SONIC drive-ins. Your responsibilities include training and supporting employees to ensure the delivery of quality food in a clean, safe, and efficient manner, providing guests with an enjoyable experience. The key duties include:

1. Managing, training, and coaching General Managers, including conducting management orientation.
2. Directing and assigning employees to ensure service standards are met.
3. Overseeing employees and management across multiple drive-ins, ensuring all stations (Fountain & Frozen, Dresser, Front Swamp, Back Swamp, Grill, Switchboard, Expeditor, Food Prep, Carhop, Skating Carhop, Drive-Thru) perform their duties during shifts according to operational standards.
4. Ensuring compliance with employee handbook policies and practices.
5. Addressing employee issues and policy violations promptly, reporting all concerns to supervisors.
6. Managing work schedules to ensure proper staffing and service levels.
7. Monitoring and controlling costs related to food, labor, paper, and inventory, taking corrective actions when necessary.
8. Supervising vendor performance and taking corrective actions if needed.
9. Auditing employment and payroll records.
10. Reinforcing guest-first service philosophy.
11. Responding to guest requests and complaints respectfully and effectively.
12. Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring management team members.
13. Approving employee and management compensation within company guidelines.
14. Preparing operational reports for multiple drive-ins and developing action plans to address financial or sales issues.
15. Developing and implementing regional marketing plans.

Additional Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies preferred.
• Minimum of three years of restaurant management experience, preferably in QSR.
• Experience in multi-unit supervision required.
• Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, and employment laws.
• Leadership, communication, and supervisory skills.
• Basic accounting and computer skills.
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and resolve problems effectively.
• Comply with appearance, uniform, and hygiene standards.
