Key Responsibilities + Welcome patients and visitors while providing outstanding customer service + Manage patient check-in and check-out processes + Complete patient registration, demographic updates, and required documentation + Verify insurance eligibility for Medicare, Medi-Cal, HMO, and commercial plans + Confirm primary and secondary insurance coverage and maintain accurate payer information + Collect co-pays, self-pay amounts, co-insurance, and other patient payments + Schedule appointments and maintain provider calendars + Answer incoming calls and assist patients with questions and concerns + Follow up with patients regarding missed appointments + Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the EMR system . Qualifications + Minimum 1 year of medical front office experience + Minimum 1 year of insurance eligibility and verification experience + Experience with patient registration and appointment scheduling + Experience utilizing EMR/EHR systems + Strong communication and customer service skills + Knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, HMO, and commercial insurance plans . Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Los Angeles, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
