The Talent Acquisition Specialist will work closely with the HR Team to ensure the effective hiring of all the necessary profiles for the different roles and opportunities requested at Robot.com. This includes conducting compensation research, headhunting, synthesizing information, participating in discussions, leading the employer attractiveness campaigns, and providing data-driven recommendations of hiring through an organized process.
Location: Bogotá or Medellín (Colombia) / US Remote — Hybrid.
As a Recruitment Specialist a typical day might include the following:
- Design and implement an overall recruiting strategy.
- Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications.
- Perform job and task analysis to document job requirements and objectives.
- Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to our different markets.
- Align an effective communication strategy with all the Hiring Managers.
- Source and recruit candidates by using databases, social media, job sites and AI tools.
- Screen candidates resumes and job applications through our ATS.
- Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates within schedule.
- Assess applicants' relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes.
- Coordinate and apply pre-hiring steps adapted to each market: in Colombia this includes medical exams, psychotechnical test application and interpretation, and legal documentation; for US-based roles, steps follow FCRA guidelines and applicable state laws, including background checks and reference checks.
- Onboard new employees in order to become fully integrated, it includes managing legal documentation signatures.
- Update the Talent Acquisition Databases right on time.
- Monitor and apply HR Recruiting best practices, policies and compliance with applicable legislation — including Colombia or US federal employment laws (FLSA, EEOC, ADA) and relevant state-specific hiring regulations.
- Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports to the rest of the team.
- Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process.
- Promote the company's employer branding.
This job might be the right one for you if:
- Minimum experience of 4 years as a Recruiter, including at least 2 years managing full-cycle recruitment for US-based roles.
- Proven experience recruiting across multiple US states and diverse role types (engineering/technical, operational, corporate, and leadership).
- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with hiring managers and teams across different locations and time zones (Colombia and US).
- Solid understanding of Colombia and US labor law fundamentals, EEOC compliance, and multi-state hiring considerations.
- Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, competency-based, stress etc.).
- Hands-on experience with various selection processes (video interviewing, phone interviewing, reference check etc.).
- Ability to organize skills assessment centers (in tray activities, work samples, psychometric and IQ/EQ tests, etc.).
- AI Tools managing and automation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong decision-making skills.
- Have a data driven approach and people analytics experience.
- Advanced English proficiency: C1/C2 (essential for US market communication, candidate interviews, and stakeholder management).
Nice to have:
- Background recruiting for the tech, robotics, automation, or advanced manufacturing industry.
- Experience in Recruitment Agencies.
- Experience in Startups.
- Demonstrated interest in logistics, on-demand services, and marketplaces.
- Hands-on experience with recruiting software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) or Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS).
- BS/MS in Human Resources Management.
