Human Resources Business Partner

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support business leaders and employees by serving as a strategic advisor on a broad range of human resources initiatives. This role partners closely with operational leadership to drive employee engagement, ensure compliance with employment laws, provide guidance on employee and labor relations matters, and support organizational success. The ideal candidate is a proactive HR professional with experience in employee relations, labor relations, policy interpretation, investigations, and performance management. This is a hybrid position with occasional travel. Key Responsibilities Partner with operational leadership to provide strategic HR support and guidance. Build strong relationships with managers and employees to improve collaboration, morale, retention, and overall employee experience. Advise leaders on employee relations issues, performance management, disciplinary actions, and policy interpretation. Conduct prompt, thorough, and objective workplace investigations while ensuring compliance with applicable employment laws and company policies. Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage and hour regulations. Support labor relations activities and collaborate with union representatives and management to ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements, where applicable. Generate HR reports, analyze workforce metrics, and provide recommendations to leadership. Recommend improvements to HR policies, procedures, and processes to increase operational effectiveness. Coordinate and support employee engagement initiatives and HR programs. Assist with HR training initiatives and leadership development programs. Support special projects and other HR initiatives as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of progressive Human Resources experience. Experience supporting unionized workforces preferred. Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including wage and hour regulations. Working knowledge of employee relations, labor relations, talent acquisition, performance management, organizational development, compensation practices, and training. Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Strong analytical and project management abilities. Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Proven ability to work independently while effectively partnering with cross‑functional teams. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets. Experience with HRIS platforms. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus. Up to 15% travel may be required.
