Clinical Laboratory Quality Analyst

Quality Assurance AnalystLabcorp is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team in Dublin, OH.Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pmJob ResponsibilitiesMaintain and support the laboratory Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with CLIA, CAP, ISO 15189, and other regulatory standardsMonitor compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirementsAssist with internal and external audits, inspections, and accreditation activitiesTrack and trend nonconformances, deviations, and corrective actions (CAPA)Collect, analyze, and interpret laboratory quality data (e.g., QC, proficiency testing, turnaround time, specimen rejection rates)Identify trends, shifts, or outliers using statistical toolsDevelop dashboards and reports to communicate quality performance metricsPerform root cause analysis and support data-driven decision makingPartner with laboratory leadership and technical staff to implement continuous improvement initiativesEvaluate workflow efficiency and recommend process optimization strategiesSupport Lean, Six Sigma, or similar initiatives where applicableApply knowledge of pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical processesCollaborate with technical teams to investigate quality issues and instrument or assay-related trendsAssist with validation/verification studies, including stability, precision, and method comparisonsMaintain quality documentation including SOPs, policies, and recordsEnsure proper documentation for audits and inspectionsProvide training or guidance on quality processes and data interpretationKeep up with all required proficiency testing and examinationsCoordinate and track external and internal proficiency testingParticipate in monthly Quality Meeting and compose minutesMinimum QualificationsAssociate's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology2 years or more of clinical laboratory testing experiencePreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology1 year or more of data analysis experience1 year or more of quality experience in a clinical laboratoryAdditional Job StandardsIn lieu of education requirements listed above, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet education requirementsFamiliarity with an electronic data management system is a plus (i.e. MasterControl)General knowledge of laboratory regulations (CAP/CLIA/ISO) and licensing requirementsUnderstanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and proceduresExperience working in a high volume laboratory environmentBasic understanding of audit related requirements and proceduresWorking knowledge of quality assurance best practices and proceduresExcellent analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skillsAbility to work independently and within a team environmentProficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systemsHigh level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skillsAbility to handle the physical requirements of the positionAble to pass a standardized color blindness testFlexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needsAt Labcorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
