Inside Sales Engineer

As we grow, we're looking for motivated professionals who want to grow with us. Position Overview This is more than a traditional inside sales position. As an Inside Sales Engineer, you'll become a technical resource for our customers while supporting quotations, order management, and customer relationships. You'll work closely with Sales, Engineering, and Operations to recommend solutions, improve internal processes, and help build the systems that support our continued growth. This role offers a clear path into Account Management for someone who is motivated, technically curious, and ready to take on additional responsibility as the company expands. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate quotations for customer inquiries while ensuring pricing and specifications meet company standards. Manage quote activity, follow up with customers, and help improve quote conversion rates. Process customer orders accurately through the ERP system. Build strong relationships with customers by providing exceptional technical support and service. Work closely with Engineering and Operations to recommend appropriate product solutions. Help improve quotation management, CRM workflows, and internal sales processes. Analyze sales activity, quotations, and customer trends using Excel and reporting tools. Maintain organized customer records and sales documentation. Support new product introductions and communicate customer feedback to internal teams. Ensure company policies and procedures are followed throughout the sales process. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent industrial experience. 3+ years of experience in Inside Sales, Technical Sales, Applications Engineering, Customer Support, or a similar industrial environment. Experience working with industrial mechanical products such as hydraulics, fluid power, pumps, valves, motion control, pressure systems, or other engineered equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and product documentation. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Technical Skills Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, filtering, charts, workbook management, and reporting. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook. Experience working with ERP, CRM, or MRP systems. Experience with QuickBooks, SAP, MISys, or similar platforms is highly preferred. Comfortable learning new software and helping improve business processes.
