Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions that may need attention.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity, verifying credentials, directing visitors, and reporting suspicious behavior in accordance with site policies.
• Support a professional environment by assisting with routine security-related checks, observing activity in sensitive work areas, and following post orders for reporting, escalation, and/or incident response.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
