Job Summary
At Terrabis, finances are the fuel that keeps our rapidly expanding company moving. We’re looking for an experienced staff accountant to join our growing corporate team. This role will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, primarily focused on accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliations and ad-hoc projects. This role will be work-from-home.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and expense reports.
• Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors.
• Maintain vendor records and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Prepare and send customer statements.
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices.
• Apply customer payments and resolve billing inquiries.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
• Identify and resolve reconciling items.
• Manage accounting group emails.
• Assist with various ad-hoc projects as needed.
• Manage all financial data in compliance with GAAP and other legal requirements.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or closely related field.
• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience working in a fast-paced start-up environment.
• Experience in the retail sector preferred.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles.
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a remote environment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Able to work well with individuals of at every level across the organization.
• Capable of reprioritizing tasks efficiently and quickly shift focus as needed.
• Desire and passion to learn and grow in an exciting and rapidly expanding industry.

Illinois Pay Range: $70,000 USD - $85,000 USD
