KPMG is currently seeking an Advisory Associate for our Advisory practice.

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with various aspects of Finance strategy, operational performance and process improvement initiatives
• Conduct analysis of finance process areas (financial planning & analysis, financial close and consolidation, management reporting and operational finance) with an emphasis on developing and solutioning process, technology, data and organizational designs
• Conduct effective and thorough research, data gathering and analysis across finance and accounting functional areas
• Execute a structured approach to problem solving and deliverable development using recognized tools and techniques

Qualifications:

• Must be pursuing and have obtained by the start date or have completed the following degrees/majors in the past 12 months; Bachelors degree in Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Finance, Data & Analytics; and/or Masters degree in Accounting, Data and Analytics, Business Administration or equivalent program from an accredited college or university
• Must have a current/most recent GPA of 3.0 or above
• Applicant must be eligible for or possess a U.S. Government Security clearance
• Interest in applying technology to modernize financial management processes and streamline data management; supporting modernization and transformation activities for Federal financial organizations; or assessing root causes and developing solutions to complex accounting and regulatory issues
• Strong in technical, business acumen, critical thinking and agility skills; demonstrated ability to excel and drive strategic outcomes, coupled with a professional demeanor and a collaborative leadership approach, in a dynamic, evolving environment
• Ability to leverage common business technologies, including MS Office (with an emphasis on Excel) and AI, and quickly learn KPMG tools and applications used by our clients
• Strong communication, organization and relationship-building skills, with the ability to apply professional judgment and skepticism, manage priorities across multiple tasks and deliver high-quality work in a professional services capacity
• Must reside within a commutable distance of the office for this position and be responsible for your own transportation, such as personal vehicle or public transportation, to get to and from office / client locations to satisfactorily fulfill your job duties, as determined by your practice leadership
• Work location may be in the office, at client sites, or virtual/remote depending on business need. You must be located within the U.S. when working remotely. Client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stay.
