Vice President of Business Development

This is NOT an account management or farming role. Success is measured by net-new logo acquisition and new revenue creation.

Position Overview

Kinettix is seeking a results-driven Vice President of Business Development to aggressively drive net-new revenue growth. This role is built for a true hunter—someone who excels at opening doors, creating opportunity, and closing complex IT services deals. The VP owns the full new-business lifecycle and is accountable for building and converting pipeline into signed revenue.

Core Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and close net-new enterprise and mid-market customers.
  • Build pipeline through outbound activity, executive networking, partners, and industry presence.
  • Lead discovery to uncover pain, urgency, and buying intent.
  • Own the full sales cycle from first contact through contract execution.
  • Consistently exceed new-revenue and new-logo targets.


Sales Execution

  • Develop and execute territory and account-based hunting strategies.
  • Position and sell complex, multi-region service solutions.
  • Navigate executive buyers and multi-stakeholder decision processes.
  • Negotiate pricing, scope, and commercial terms to drive profitable growth.


Internal Alignment

  • Partner with operations, solutions and delivery teams to ensure solutions are executable.
  • Maintain a clean handoff post-close; this role does not own long-term account management.
  • Provide market intelligence on competitors, pricing pressure, and emerging demand.


Qualifications

  • 10+ years of new-business sales experience in IT services, managed services, or field services.
  • Proven track record of winning new logos.
  • Experience selling multi-location, enterprise service engagements.
  • Comfortable operating independently with high accountability.
  • AI literacy or established competency


Key Performance Indicators

  • Net-new revenue booked.
  • New logos acquired.
  • Pipeline creation, velocity, and close rate.
  • Forecast accuracy.
