Executive Officer

The Executive Officer serves as the principal advisor to leadership on Human Resources Division (HRD) administrative programs, and is accountable for managing special programs, projects, and executive correspondence, as well as providing general administrative support. This position is located in the Human Resources Division, Arlington, Virginia. TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS Merit Promotion and Veterans Employment Opportunity Act (VEOA) Status applicants must provide an SF50 Notice of Personnel Action that indicates proof of status and time-in-grade eligibility. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the education and/or experience required for the grade level(s) to which you apply. To qualify at the GS-14 grade level, you must meet the following Specialized Experience You must have at least one year (12 months) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties: Coordinating administrative activities for an office or division to support leadership in meeting operational priorities and deadlines; Monitoring the status of correspondence, action items, or reports to keep leadership informed of pending and outstanding matters; Reviewing office procedures or business practices to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to increase organizational effectiveness; Preparing briefing materials, background summaries, or written products to support leadership in meetings or decision making activities; and Serving as a liaison between organizational components or with external agencies to coordinate program activities or resolve administrative issues.
