Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Designing and implementing effective treatment programs that target individual patient needs, taking into account their medical history and physical capabilities.
• Utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques ranging from manual therapy to therapeutic exercises to facilitate recovery.
• Demonstrating exceptional patient service, ensuring that communication is clear and empathetic.
• Working with a multidisciplinary team of specialists, including occupational therapists and physicians, to maximize patient outcomes through collaborative care.
• Providing education and training to patients and caregivers on techniques and exercises that can aid recovery and prevent re-injury.
• Meeting productivity goals while maintaining a high standard of care and adjusting treatments based on evidence-based practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including:

• Orthopedic patients recovering from surgery or injury, requiring specialized rehabilitation protocols.
• Pediatric patients needing targeted interventions to address developmental challenges.
• Neurologic patients who may require assistance in regaining movement and function.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, with preference for a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
• Licensure to practice physical therapy in the state of Florida.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to convey complex information simply.

Preferred Experience
