Senior General Ledger Consultant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior General Ledger Consultant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $34.00 to $36.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries and reconcile financial statements and accounts in accordance with GAAP.
• Support month-end close and year-end audit processes by preparing reports and disclosures.
• Maintain the fixed asset general ledger and assist with capitalization policies.
• Perform analytical reviews and investigate variances between actual expenses and budgets.
• Manage accounts receivable tasks including aging reviews, collections, invoicing, and payment processing.

• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of general ledger accounting and GAAP principles.
• Apply intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Word and Outlook.
• Communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Maintain strong attention to detail and organizational skills in a fast-paced setting.
• Pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening successfully.

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting or related field.
• 3+ years of general ledger accounting experience.
• 2+ years of experience preparing adjusting journal entries.
• Interpret technical instructions and solve problems using sound reasoning and judgment.
• Demonstrate ability to read, write, and speak effectively in professional settings.
