With more than 20 years of experience in the 403(b) industry, the company employs over 600 financial service representatives serving up to 7,000 school systems nationwide. Nearly 130,000 educators and school employees currently rely on ValuTeachers for guidance on their retirement plans. The organization is committed to expanding its reach to the many teachers and school system employees who are still not adequately preparing for retirement. ValuTeachers maintains a mission-driven, service-oriented culture focused on long-term client relationships and positive financial outcomes. Role Description : This full-time, remote Accelerated Retirement Specialist (Life and Living Benefits Specialist) role focuses on helping educators and school system employees understand and optimize their retirement options. The specialist will conduct virtual consultations, assess individual retirement needs, and present suitable retirement planning and insurance solutions aligned with organizational benefits. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing retirement accounts and employee benefits, explaining 403(b), life insurance, living benefits and related products, and assisting clients in developing customized retirement strategies. The role also involves maintaining accurate client records, following up on action items, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure compliant and efficient service. The specialist will proactively reach out to prospective clients within school systems, educate them on retirement readiness, and support them in taking steps toward financial security. Qualifications Knowledge of retirement planning and 403(b) or similar tax-advantaged retirement vehicles. Understanding of insurance products and how they support long-term retirement strategies. Background in finance or financial services, with the ability to analyze and discuss basic financial information. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, empathetic, and accessible way. Relevant licenses or willingness to obtain required state licenses (e.g., life/annuity license) as applicable. Prior experience working with educators or in a client-facing advisory or sales role is beneficial. High degree of integrity, professionalism, and self-motivation, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment. Proficiency with virtual meeting tools and basic CRM or client tracking systems.
