Operations Supervisor - 2nd Shift

As the Operations Supervisor, you will work cross-functionally with various departments, including sales, carrier procurement and operations, carrier compliance, finance and accounts payable. You’ll handle a team of Carrier Procurement Representatives and ensure that everyone is consistently delivering positive results. Pay, Benefits And More. full health insurance (medical, dental and vision) 401(k) life insurance disability the opportunity to participate in a company incentive plan What you’ll do on a typical day: Handle the daily operations of the team Develop and expand carrier relationships with both existing and new carriers Train, mentor and develop a team of Carrier Procurement Representatives Book freight and maintain KPI metrics while ensuring your direct reports do the same What you need to succeed at GXO: At a minimum, you’ll need: 2 years of transportation-related experience It’d be great if you also have: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience 2 years of non-asset-based brokerage experience Solid experience in management, including prioritizing work and performing well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Solid conflict resolution skills Proven leadership and creative thinking skills with the ability to effectively supervise, coach and influence employees We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
