Financial Controller

Location: Soho Position Type: Full-time, Salaried Compensation: $140,000 - 150,000 The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing Spencer’s financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, managing budgets, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role supervises accounting, ensures compliance with financial regulations, and serves as financial leadership for the company. Key Responsibilities Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Manage the company’s accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger Own vendor management, cash flow, banking relationships, and disbursements Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans Lead year-end processes, including planning and collaboration with external tax preparers Ensure compliance with tax laws, financial regulations, and accounting standards Maintain and improve internal financial controls and processes Analyze financial data and provide recommendations Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities Monitor cash flow, investments, and financial risk management Supervise and mentor Finance and Accounting team Support strategic planning and business growth initiatives Qualifications 10+ years of experience in finance or accounting Experience managing financial systems Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Proven experience in finance leadership within a startup environment Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and tax regulations Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills High attention to detail and organizational ability Key Skills Financial reporting Budgeting and forecasting Strategic financial planning Risk management Regulatory compliance Data analysis Problem-solving #J-18808-Ljbffr
