Accounting Clerk

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support payroll and operational accounting functions in a contract-to-hire capacity. This position plays a key role in reviewing employee time records, reconciling payroll information, and verifying trip-related data. The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable working with mobile workforce applications, and proactive when following up to resolve missing or incomplete information. This opportunity begins as a contract assignment and offers the potential for permanent employment based on performance and business needs. This role will sit onsite in Columbus, OH and work 11AM to 7PM. Key Responsibilities Review and reconcile payroll-related information to ensure accuracy prior to processing Verify trip data and supporting documentation for completeness and compliance Monitor employee hours submitted through a mobile timekeeping application Contact employees and supervisors regarding missing punches, incomplete timesheets, or discrepancies Research, troubleshoot, and resolve payroll and timekeeping issues Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation Qualifications Previous experience in accounting, payroll, bookkeeping, or administrative support Experience reviewing timesheets, payroll records, or employee hour reporting Familiarity with mobile workforce management or timekeeping systems preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard business applications Excellent communication and follow-up skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Must be able to work Monday through Friday 11AM to 7PM Pay Details: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include: medical dental vision life insurance short-term disability additional voluntary benefits EAP program commuter benefits 401K plan Our benefit offerings provide employees the flexibility to choose the type of coverage that meets their individual needs.
