ORGANIZATION SunGrow Landscape (SunWorks Landscape Partners company) POSITION Business Development Manager COMPANY OVERVIEW SunWorks Landscape Partners is a leading private equity‑backed commercial landscape services company. At SunWorks, we are building a national network of market‑leading regional brands by partnering with local companies with great cultures, attracting the best technical and managerial talent, and creating unmatched growth opportunities for our people. Over the past two years, SunWorks has acquired nine commercial landscaping companies in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, and Texas. Our companies provide recurring landscape maintenance services to corporate campuses, universities, office parks, retail centers, light industrial properties, and homeowners associations. With strong organic growth and an aggressive acquisition strategy, we aim to build the largest privately held commercial landscaping business in the country. SunWorks is backed by Alpine Investors, a private equity firm specializing in middle‑market companies in the services and software industries with over $6.5bn of lifetime committed capital. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Join an established and award‑winning team experiencing significant growth! The Business Developer will be responsible for identifying and building relationships with new customers in the commercial landscaping maintenance industry. Working closely with other members of the regional management team, you will play a crucial role in the growth and success of the business. The successful candidate will have tenacity, excellent relationship development skills, be highly motivated, and want to be part of a winning team. Conduct market research to identify potential clients and business opportunities. Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, competitive dynamics in the industry, and our customer value proposition. Actively seek and engage potential clients through networking, cold calling, email campaigns, and other outreach strategies. Maintain an updated CRM system. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing customers and referral sources. Develop presentation materials that align our services and solutions with client needs. Assist the company President and General Manager in negotiating contract terms and pricing. Monitor and report on key performance metrics related to new business development. Keep abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices. PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES & EXPERIENCE A track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets, preferably in a commercial field service business Demonstrated ability to build trust with potential customers, negotiate effectively, and close deals. Highly developed ability to clearly communicate complex proposals and multi‑phase solutions to customers and other stakeholders who are not landscaping industry experts. High levels of personal determination and ambition complimented by a positive "can do" attitude and an ability to quickly build influential relationships with a wide variety of people. Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, psychology, or a related field preferred. COMPENSATION AND LOCATION A market‑leading compensation package will be offered to qualified candidates, including a base salary, performance bonuses, a company vehicle, and standard benefits.
