North Texas Plastic Surgery | Oceana Med Spa About the Opportunity North Texas Plastic Surgery is one of the largest and fastest-growing private plastic surgery and medical aesthetics enterprises in the country: six locations, six Oceana med spa locations, an accredited surgery center, and an anesthesia group — approximately 115 employees and $29M in annual revenue, founded and led by a Harvard-trained, board-certified plastic surgeon. We are hiring our first in-house Controller. This is a build role, not a maintenance role. You will bring our accounting function fully in-house, own the integrity of our multi-entity financials, and construct the reporting infrastructure a growing twelve-location enterprise requires. You will report directly to the CEO and work alongside our executive leadership team. For the right person, this is the rare opportunity to build a finance function from a clean sheet — with the resources, transaction activity, and growth trajectory to make the work genuinely interesting. What You Will Own Bring bookkeeping and the monthly close in-house; establish a disciplined close calendar with financials delivered by business day 10. Multi-entity accounting and consolidation across our surgical practice, med spa, surgery center, and anesthesia entities, including intercompany transactions and eliminations. Location-level P&Ls and management reporting that leadership can actually run the business on — by site, by service line, by provider. Internal controls, accounting policy, and the chart of accounts — including remediation and modernization of legacy processes. Cash management, AP/AR oversight, payroll accounting, and fixed asset / capital equipment accounting. Coordination with our external CPA firm on tax, and support for transaction work including partnership and valuation matters. Hiring and developing a small internal accounting team as the function scales. What You Bring CPA required. Bachelor's degree in Accounting; public accounting foundation (audit) strongly preferred. 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years as a Controller or Assistant Controller. Multi-entity, multi-location experience is essential — healthcare, dental/DSO, med spa, veterinary, or multi-site consumer services strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience building or substantially rebuilding an accounting function: system implementations, close acceleration, cleanup work. Fluency in QuickBooks A bias toward ownership. You find problems before anyone asks, and you fix them. What We Offer $150,000–$175,000 base, commensurate with experience, plus performance bonus.
