Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN), 12.5-Hour Shift Location: Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, NJ 07039 Department: Burn Care Step Down Req #: 0000244071 Status: Full-Time, Hourly Shift: Day, 7A-8P, 12.5-hour shift, 37.5 hours per week Pay Range: $47.85 - $76.27 per hour (New Jersey) The Burn Center at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center (formerly St. Barnabas Medical Center) is the only state‑certified burn treatment facility in New Jersey and one of the largest in North America. With 12 intensive‑care beds and an 18‑bed step‑down unit, the Burn Center provides expert care for patients of all ages. We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to care for our patients in their time of need. Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing Baccalaureate or Associate Degree in Nursing Strong critical thinking/assessment skills Must be IV‑certified from an approved facility or complete IV certification within 90 days of hire Completion of all orientation requirements at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center Successful completion of all orientation programs Certifications and Licenses Required: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License Scheduling Requirements: Full‑time, Day Shift, 7A-8P, 37.5 hours per week, 12.5-hour shift Required to work every other weekend and holiday rotations Essential Functions: Provide nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, ensuring ethical practice per ANA code of ethics. Maintain safety in practice, including the application of evidence‑based practice and continuous professional development. Report safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors. Demonstrate knowledge of the patient population served. Supervise and delegate tasks to appropriate team members, collaborating with other patient‑care providers. Prioritize and implement interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement. Participate in patient teaching, discharge planning, and unit performance‑improvement evaluations. Serve as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager, integrating nursing process to individualize patient care plans.
