Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a positive impact supporting K-12 students by providing vital behavioral and social-emotional guidance in area schools. Collaborate across multiple districts, working closely with educators, families, and support staff to implement effective interventions as an itinerant Behavioral Specialist.

This contract role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse student population, conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) to help students thrive academically and socially. Utilize your expertise to coach and provide training, contribute to crisis intervention, and shape a safe, supportive school environment.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required
• Current Kansas State Teaching License with appropriate endorsement
• Experience as a school-based Behavioral Specialist, BCBA, or related field preferred
• Additional licensure in school psychology, social work, or school counseling desirable
• Proven ability to conduct FBAs and develop BIPs
• Confident supporting students with behavioral and social-emotional challenges in K-12 settings
• Skilled at collaborating with school teams, staff, and families
• Strong background in crisis intervention and behavior coaching
• Familiarity with research-based, data-driven behavioral interventions

Key Responsibilities:

• Travel between multiple district school sites on an itinerant schedule
• Lead and document FBAs, develop and monitor BIPs
• Partner with educators, families, and administrators for consistent support
• Model and coach best behavioral practices for staff and teams
• Provide hands-on support for crisis prevention and intervention
• Analyze data to measure intervention effectiveness and make adjustments as needed
