Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Valid Kansas Special Education teaching license (required)
• Experience working with students of diverse abilities and backgrounds
• Strong understanding of special education laws, IEP development, and instructional adaptation
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
• Commitment to fostering a supportive, respectful, and inclusive classroom climate

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor effective individualized education plans (IEPs) for students on your caseload
• Deliver direct instruction in accordance with student-specific goals and state standards
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, families, and service providers
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation for compliance and reporting purposes
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to eligibility assessments and annual reviews
• Use proactive strategies to promote positive behavior and academic success
