Human Resources Generalist

HR Generalist (Temporary) Location: Baltimore, MD (Hybrid) Compensation: $28-$33 per hour Duration: ASAP through September–December 2026 LHH is partnering with a client in Baltimore, MD, that is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative HR Generalist to join their team on a temporary basis. This role will play an important part in maintaining smooth HR operations and providing a positive employee experience through day-to-day support of human resources and payroll activities. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position is a great opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys being hands‑on, supporting employees, and contributing to a collaborative team environment. Experience with UKG (formerly UltiPro) is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day HR support across a variety of employee lifecycle activities. Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding processes. Process employment and income verification requests for employees, lenders, and prospective employers. Manage unemployment claims and maintain related documentation. Review and audit bi-weekly payroll for accuracy prior to processing. Respond to employee inquiries through the HR inbox and route requests appropriately. Process payroll adjustments, deduction changes, earnings updates, and manual payroll corrections. Prepare and distribute recurring monthly HR reports for internal stakeholders. Support HR leadership with special projects and additional administrative responsibilities as needed. Qualifications 2+ years of Human Resources experience required. Experience supporting payroll processing or payroll administration. Experience with UKG (formerly UltiPro) strongly preferred. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization abilities. Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
