Senior Accountant

Position Summary We at HUB International are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing Specialty Program Group in a dynamic transitional support role. This position offers variety and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact as you support the accounting operations for multiple entities with diverse needs. Your responsibilities will flex based on business priorities—ranging from day‑to‑day transactional accounting to higher‑level reconciliations and special projects. What You’ll Do Support day‑to‑day accounting operations for multiple entities, adapting to varying business needs Perform transactional accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries Complete month‑end close processes and balance sheet account reconciliations Prepare manual journal entries and accounting adjustments as needed Support special projects and initiatives based on team priorities Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and issues Maintain detailed documentation and support continuous process improvements Shift focus between different types of work as business needs evolve Provide accounting support during transitional periods Required Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 3‑5 years of accounting experience with strong fundamental accounting knowledge Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles Experience with account reconciliations and transactional accounting Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data analysis) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Self‑starter mentality with ability to work independently Adaptable mindset and comfort with shifting priorities Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously Strongly Preferred Insurance industry experience Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting systems Public company accounting experience Exposure to multiple accounting environments or systems Why You’ll Love This Role Diverse responsibilities with opportunities to learn and grow Exposure to various aspects of accounting across multiple entities Collaborative, team‑oriented environment Work‑life balance in a hybrid setting Opportunity to make real impact in a growing organization Clear career progression potential Hybrid Position This is a hybrid position requiring three days in office in Brentwood, TN.
