Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited PT program (MPT or DPT required)
• Active Illinois Physical Therapy License
• Previous experience providing PT services in school or pediatric settings is highly valued
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with teachers, therapists, and other school staff
• Capability to effectively travel between local schools as needed

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative PT services to a diverse caseload of 35-45 students, ranging from elementary age through transition programs
• Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions to foster students’ physical independence in self-contained and general education environments
• Provide training and support for the use of positioning and mobility equipment
• Write clear and timely daily documentation, progress notes, and goal updates in compliance with school and state standards
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure cohesive support for each student’s educational and physical goals
