Westlake Family Dentistry is growing! We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and infection control in our dental clinic. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, educating patients on oral health, and assisting the dental team in delivering comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments to maintain optimal oral health for patients.
• Conduct documentation reviews to ensure accurate patient records and treatment plans.
• Utilize medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosing dental conditions.
• Implement aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
• Assist dentists during various procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Maintain infection control protocols to ensure the safety of both patients and staff.
• Review and update medical records, ensuring all patient information is current and accurate.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies.

Qualifications

• Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice.
• Experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in using Eaglesoft or similar dental software for documentation and patient management.
• Strong knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while assisting with various tasks as needed.
