A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a dedicated special education professional to work with students in grades K-5. This role focuses on creating a supportive learning environment and helping students achieve their academic and personal goals. The assignment runs from August 2026 to June 2027, providing a consistent schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid K-12 VA Special Education License required
• Experience working with elementary-aged learners (K-5) preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Proven commitment to supporting individualized education programs
• Ability to adapt instructional methods to meet diverse needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and implement effective lesson plans tailored to students’ IEPs
• Foster an inclusive, encouraging classroom environment
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Develop and utilize strategies to promote positive behavioral support
• Attend team meetings and participate in ongoing professional development
• Provide direct instruction in academic, behavioral, and social skills
