Associate Underwriter

Utilizing basic underwriting techniques, the full-time Associate Underwriter - Ohio will evaluate and price new business and renewal applications remotely, ensuring compliance with corporate guidelines and supporting team goals for profitable business writing. Key responsibilities Perform routine selection, evaluation, and pricing of assigned risks for commercial insurance policies Review new and renewal business requests to determine acceptability based on established rules and guidelines Process endorsements, cancellations, and reissues of policies while maintaining accurate account servicing Required qualifications High school diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred Two years' experience in a professional business or insurance environment preferred Previous commercial lines underwriting experience is a plus Working knowledge of underwriting principles and state-specific laws Proficiency in Excel and ability to multi-task effectively
