Customer Account Specialist
This is a 1-year contract position — Local to Norfolk, VA only, please.
This is a hybrid position — Commute should be no longer than 45 minutes.
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Schedule Flexibility:  Candidates should be flexible and open to working extended hours, weekends, and holidays. ***Please note that no vacation will be taken within the first 90 days due to the training schedule

• Working as part of the Customer Account Management team.
• Candidates will assist the company’s residential customers with basic to complex residential inquiries, including high bill inquiries, and provide support and assistance to resolve customer inquiries.
• Perform billing reconciliation through analysis and reconciliation to resolve the customer’s needs, and provide detailed explanations and applications of electric rates to customers.
• Provide customer service with a drive and desire to become an established member of the team and advance and succeed as part of the Customer Account Management team for years to come.
• Candidates should expect this position to help them grow and advance as part of a team and be able to work independently as needed.

• Must have customer-facing experience (in person or by phone): 2 years or more.
• Must have strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, video conferencing, etc.
• Must be able to multitask between activities and screens during customer interactions.
• Experience working with the public where the customer experience is the main focus.

• Must have strong interpersonal communication skills with customers, supervisors, and peers.

• Bilingual is wonderful, but not required.

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in an inbound call center environment.
• Experience working with utilities would be a plus.
• Experience in customer service fields.

• HS/GED required.
• Associate degree preferred, but not required.
