Responsibilities

• Draw quality blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures.
• Prepare specimens for lab testing, ensuring proper labeling, handling, and documentation.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment, consistently demonstrating confidence, accuracy, and confidentiality.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to blood collection and processing.
• Communicate procedures effectively to patients to foster trust and comfort during specimen collection.
• Perform duties independently with minimal supervision, ensuring timely completion of daily activities.
• Adhere to process excellence and uphold a positive, organizational image with patients and staff.

Required Skills

• Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric specimen collection.
• Ability to provide error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in keyboard/data entry skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Additional Skills & Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; over one year preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• Must be flexible and available for weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime based on staffing needs.
• Reliable transportation to the worksite is required; service or rideshare options are not considered reliable.
• Candidate must list their home city and commutes within 20-25 minutes to the jobsite.
• Availability to work scheduled shifts, with punctuality and full shift attendance mandatory.
