Social Manager, Brand CommunicationsWhirlpool is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Social Manager, Brand Communications. This is an onsite role at our World of Whirlpool Office located in Chicago.As part of the Social Media team at Whirlpool, this role is responsible for leading the strategy and execution for best in class social across our portfolio of brands. Coordinating with media, creative and brand counterparts, you will be responsible for ensuring we're continuing to reach AND engage with our consumers across multiple social platforms.The Social team is part of the Brand Organization. The team is comprised of social, content creation and influencer expertise to ensure we're moving at the speed of social and bringing our brands to the forefront of culture. All members of the team provide expertise and support to both our brand leads, while also collaborating directly with our in-house agency, WoW studios and bringing a social first approach to our campaigns. The position reports to the Senior Manager, Social and Influencer.Your responsibilities will includeLeads the social strategy and execution end to endOwns/plans content calendars for always on + Influencer contentLead the daily community management, to maintain an active and responsive community, to drive more positive interactions - while also infusing engagement full circle to new briefs.Collaborates with our influencer lead to expand reach and credibility within social communities.Partner with Strategy, Insights, Analytics, Comms and Media teams to ensure that all work is grounded in community understanding, data and insightsKeeps abreast of the latest social media trends and best practices and shares out with broader organizations.Maintain a high level of quality assurance while holding the team accountable for delivering social first campaignsBe a cross-functional teammate who engages, listens and collaborates with internal teams on Whirlpool's overall marketing strategy.Be an inspiring peer and help develop out of the box and first-to-market experiences, activations, and content that will drive social conversations and increase brand love.Analyze key performance metrics regularly, making vital recommendations for improvement.Lead in social trafficking of assets for paid initiatives, while also having experience boosting always on content directlyMinimum requirementsBachelor's degree7+ years of experience in Social Media or Social Strategy5+ years of experience with multi-channel communications planning, using data to identify insights and build strategies for social content5+ years of experience across all social platforms, including but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube and LinkedInPreferred skills and experiencesA motivated social manager ready to take ownership of projects, present to teams, and eventually mentor and grow junior talentA passion for social, including a natural curiosity for trendspotting and identifying new channel opportunities.High comfort level with data and the ability to monitor, analyze, and interpret social media metrics and transform those insights into new opportunitiesComprehensive and deep understanding of social platforms and the role they play within the broader strategy teamDriven by a passion for evolving technologiesWhat we offerGenerous benefits package, Whirlpool employee discount, fitness & educational reimbursement programs, kitchenettes, and more!
