Occupational Therapist School Setting in Dover, DE

Step into a vital role supporting students with significant needs by putting your expertise as a licensed Occupational Therapist to work in a dynamic educational environment. You will deliver individualized therapy services, working closely with school staff to help students achieve their academic and functional goals. From evaluating and monitoring progress to collaborating on IEPs, your clinical insights will empower students to thrive.
Key Qualifications:
Active Occupational Therapist license (submit proof with your application)
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Occupational Therapy
At least two years of experience in school-based OT roles, especially supporting students with varied disabilities
Strong familiarity with severe disabilities and behavioral/autism spectrum challenges
Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple cases and thorough documentation
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Reliable transportation for daily commute
Commitment to on-time attendance and professional communication
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct therapy and ongoing data collection to monitor student progress
Complete detailed therapy notes, progress monitoring, evaluation summaries, and IEP documentation
Review IEPs developed by COTAs as appropriate
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on student-centered care plans
Ensure clear communication with school contacts and recruiters regarding absences or emergencies
