Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant Exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented, analytical team player to join the accounting team as a Staff Accountant, permanent hire, full-time. This role will assist with all aspects of the financial accounting process including general ledger, insurance accounting, fixed assets, financial reporting, and various other aspects of the business cycle. The staff accountant will work closely with internal departments to ensure that accounts are properly recorded. What you’ll do Perform journal entries and reconcile subledgers to the GL. Compile information for internal accounting, AP, AR and cash dashboards. Prepare supporting schedules for entries across the accounting cycle, cash accounting and reconciliations, and sales & use tax reporting. Assist with managing the monthly close process and managerial reporting. Assist with developing improved processes and technical add‑ons. Provide support for annual audits and regulatory reporting. Prepare insurance reporting to underwriter partners. Cessions and retro reporting for insurance/service contracts. Validate data between systems and related integrations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required. Minimum 5 years of general ledger accounting experience with payroll and knowledge of GAAP in manufacturing/distribution. High proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, macros), MS Office, and NetSuite. Excellent communication, research, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills. Self‑starter able to thrive in a start‑up environment. Strong analytical and quantitative skills with accuracy and attention to detail. Reputable customer service orientation and willingness to collaborate across divisions. Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Physical Demands Sitting, 8‑hour work shift.
