This position plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of the company's full-cycle accounts payable process-from invoice processing through month-end close. Phoenix Pro Connect is supporting a growing organization seeking a hands-on Accounts Payable Accountant to join their accounting team. This position plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of the company's full-cycle accounts payable process-from invoice processing through month-end close. Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable , including invoice entry, approvals, coding, and payments.
- Review and reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and maintain vendor files.
- Prepare weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments, ensuring adherence to internal controls.
- Assist with month-end close by preparing accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Collaborate with accounting and procurement teams to ensure proper expense coding and documentation.
- Support year-end audits by providing requested AP documentation and reconciliations.
- Identify opportunities to streamline AP processes and enhance efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 3+ years of full-cycle accounts payable experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and the month-end close process .
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar ERP).
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a multi-entity or global organization .
- Exposure to expense reporting systems and vendor management portals .
- Intermediate Excel-pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data validation, etc.
Compensation
- Salary Range: [Insert range based on market - typically $60,000-$80,000 annually, depending on experience]
