Production Operator

Job Title: Production Operator
Pay Rate: $18.00-$18.90/hour
Location: Columbus, IN

About the Role

We're hiring Production Operators to join our team in Columbus, IN. In this role, you'll perform a variety of production tasks, including loading and unloading machinery, positioning materials, setting up jobs, operating equipment, and moving and packing parts. You'll help produce quality products for the next operation and ultimately for customers.

What You'll Do

• Assist with production line start-up
• Perform material checks and material handling
• Load and unload machinery as needed
• Position work and assist with job setup
• Adjust and operate production machinery
• Move and pack parts
• Follow all quality procedures
• Maintain accurate records of parts and production information
• Assist other team members as directed
• Participate in 5S and continuous improvement activities
• Perform additional duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

• Ability to read kanbans
• Ability to lift between 25 and 50 lbs.
• Good math skills
• Forklift experience preferred but not required
• Ability to wear appropriate PPE and follow all safety procedures
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to stand for 8-10 hours
• Ability to bend and squat as needed
• Prior manufacturing experience helpful
• Dependable, hardworking, and willing to learn new skills

Shift

Schedules depend on the department you are placed in. All schedules are Monday-Friday, with weekends required at times.

• Days: 5:00 AM-5:00 PM - $18.00/hour
• Nights: 5:00 PM-5:00 AM - $18.90/hour
• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM-2:30 PM - $18.00/hour
• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM-10:30 PM - $18.90/hour
• 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM-6:30 AM - $18.90/hour
