Senior Tax Accountant

A highly respected public accounting firm based in Oak Brook is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join its growing team. Responsibilities Prepare and review individual, business, and fiduciary tax returns. Work closely with clients to provide proactive tax planning and advisory services. Research and analyze technical tax issues and communicate findings effectively. Manage tax correspondence and maintain strong client relationships. Mentor and train junior staff, providing guidance and technical support. Review work prepared by staff accountants and ensure accuracy and quality standards are met. Collaborate with team members on complex tax engagements and consulting projects. Gain exposure to a variety of tax matters, including state and local tax (SALT), sales and use tax, payroll tax, and other specialty areas. Qualifications 3+ years of progressive public accounting tax experience. Strong experience preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns. Prior tax review experience is required. CPA or EA designation preferred, or actively pursuing certification. Experience conducting tax research and interpreting tax regulations. SALT (State & Local Tax) experience is preferred. Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues. Demonstrated interest in mentoring and developing junior staff.
