Project Manager

The American Jewish Congress is seeking a highly organized, strategic, and entrepreneurial Project Manager to help lead and execute high-impact initiatives across the organization. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with senior leadership to turn ideas into action, managing projects that advance advocacy, strengthen U.S.-Israel relations, combat antisemitism, cultivate the next generation of leaders, and build innovative new programs. From coordinating international conferences and public policy initiatives to launching new ventures and supporting organizational growth, you'll play a central role in bringing some of the organization's most important priorities to life. This is an opportunity to own meaningful work from day one. You'll collaborate with internal and external partners, manage initiatives from concept through execution, solve problems creatively, and help ensure that ambitious ideas become measurable results. Familiarity with international affairs, politics, U.S.-Israel relations, and the American Jewish community is strongly preferred. What You'll Do Lead Strategic Initiatives : Manage a diverse portfolio of projects across advocacy, public policy, communications, fundraising, leadership development, events, and organizational growth. Project Management & Execution : Develop project plans, establish timelines, coordinate stakeholders, monitor progress, identify risks, and ensure projects are completed successfully and on schedule. Cross-Functional Leadership : Partner with colleagues, leadership, consultants, volunteers, and external partners to coordinate complex initiatives across multiple teams and priorities. Program Development : Help launch and scale new initiatives by developing operational plans, creating supporting materials, coordinating logistics, and ensuring successful implementation. Event & Conference Management : Support planning and execution of high-profile meetings, conferences, leadership programs, delegations, and international events, including the International Mayors Conference and other strategic convenings. Research & Strategic Planning : Conduct research, develop recommendations, prepare presentations and briefing materials, and help evaluate new opportunities that advance the organization's mission. Innovation & AI : Identify opportunities to leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve project management, research, communications, operational efficiency, and organizational effectiveness. Organizational Operations : Build systems, improve workflows, and develop processes that enable teams to work more effectively while supporting multiple simultaneous initiatives. Qualifications Exceptional Project Manager : You're highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at managing multiple projects simultaneously while keeping stakeholders informed and deadlines on track and committed to successful execution. Relationship Builder : You enjoy collaborating with diverse groups of people, building consensus, and managing projects involving multiple stakeholders. Experience : Experience managing projects, programs, operations, consulting engagements, events, nonprofit initiatives, startups, or other complex, cross‑functional work is preferred.
