Accountant

SNI USA Inc

Accountant temporary position located in Woburn. Duties: Supports accurate and timely financial reporting by leading key components of the monthly close, including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, reserve accounting, fixed assets, intercompany activity, reinsurance transactions, and audit support. Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm 1/2 lunch. Salary $32 to $36 depending on experience.
Essential Responsibilities

Support the monthly close by preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, cash activity, and variance analyses across multiple accounting areas.
Manage recurring accounting processes for reserves, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, reinsurance remittances, bank deposits, wires, and expense activity.
Prepare audit schedules, workpapers, and supporting documentation for the annual external audit and act as the primary accounting contact for the Legacy Shield audit.
Review Staff Accountant journal entries, reconciliations, and workpapers to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely completion.
Collaborate with internal teams and third-party service providers to resolve discrepancies, improve processes, and deliver accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably within insurance, financial services, or a regulated environment.
Proficient in MS Office skills
