HOW YOUR ROLE AS A SENIOR ACCOUNTING ASSOCIATE LEADS TO SUCCESS

In this highly visible position, you'll serve as a trusted accounting resource responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and helping drive informed business decisions. You'll review financial statements, manage general ledger activity, prepare and review journal entries, perform reconciliations, and analyze accounts to ensure financial accuracy and compliance. You'll support budgeting and forecasting activities, prepare variance analyses, and contribute valuable insights that assist leadership with strategic planning. During month-end and year-end close cycles, you'll take a leading role in ensuring timely and accurate reporting while supporting tax compliance and audit activities. You'll also review the work of accounting staff, provide meaningful feedback, mentor developing professionals, and collaborate with colleagues who are committed to delivering exceptional results.

Would you excel in this position? Here's what you need:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA license or active CPA candidacy preferred
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and the full accounting cycle
• Demonstrated experience with month-end close, financial statement preparation, reconciliations, journal entries, and account analysis
• Experience reviewing the work of other accounting staff and providing actionable feedback
• Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, lookup functions, data analysis, and reconciliation of large data sets
• Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online and/or other accounting or ERP systems
• Ability to research accounting issues, exercise professional judgment, and clearly communicate conclusions
• Excellent organizational skills, time management abilities, and the capability to manage multiple deadlines with minimal supervision

Preferred :

• Public accounting, outsourced accounting, governmental accounting, nonprofit accounting, or professional services experience
• Experience with grants, governmental accounting, federal awards, or 2 CFR Part 200
