The Business Analyst Lead will leverage data and analytics to drive business impact within our business units. This hands-on role will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, utilizing modeling and analysis to generate insights that inform strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate possesses strong business acumen and technical analytical skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive landscape to inform business strategies.
- Identify trends, opportunities, and challenges within business operations.
- Proactively generate hypotheses that could improve business results by leveraging data-supported analysis.
- Proactively produce executive-level verbal and written analyses, insights, and reports that support data-driven recommendations.
- Develop a deep understanding of relevant data from various data platforms.
- Translate complex business requirements into analytical frameworks.
- Utilize SQL to extract, manipulate, integrate, and analyze large datasets.
- Create compelling visualizations and dashboards using tools like Power BI to communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all analytics and reporting.
- Drive the importance of data collection and creating meaningful tests to measure incremental growth.
- Analyze and interpret complex data to provide actionable insights that support business objectives.
- Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
- Protect our reputation by keeping information confidential.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.
- 5+ years of experience in a business analysis role
- 2+ years of experience building dashboards and reports in Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization tool,
- 3+ years working with SQL with a strong track record of working with complex datasets, including data extraction and manipulation
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable business insights.
- Experience with Azure (or other cloud environments) and Databricks
- Experience with IoT, SaaS, and/or intelligent consumer products & services
